Twenty-six men and 14 women’s teams participated in the Hotspring Alluvial Mining sponsored Xmas Sports Tournament played at Riverside Primary School field from December 26-31 this year.
14 men’s and 12 women’s volleyball teams also have paid their registrations and participated in the first day of the tournament.

I’m pleased to continue with the 2nd sponsorship of the Christmas tournament this year,” Mambu said.


Riverside Primary School board chairman Wamane Urik also commended the company for the sponsorship and said the classrooms and the teachers’ houses are out of bounds.

The opening game, the defending champions, Forest Cedar maintained its performance by defeating Kunai Roots 2-0.
The second game saw Korons forced a nil-all draw with YPS.
In the men’s volleyball games K.Bullets defeated Wandi 2-1 and Wau Creek edged our Izi Ngaibuk 3-1 in another entertaining game.
The games will resume their respective sports tomorrow.
